The Great Commission – Our Call to Go

These were some of Jesus’ final words to His disciples — not just a suggestion, but a commission.
“Go therefore…”
The Christian life is not meant to be lived in silence or isolation. It’s a calling to go — into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and even to the ends of the earth — carrying the Good News of Jesus.
Make Disciples, Not Just Converts
Jesus didn’t simply say, “Go and make believers.” He said, “Make disciples.”A disciple is a follower, a learner, someone committed to walking in the footsteps of Christ. Our mission is to share the Gospel in a way that leads people not only to faith, but to a transformed life of ongoing relationship with Jesus.
Baptizing in His Name
Baptism is more than a ritual — it’s a declaration of new life. When we baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we are inviting people into the fullness of God’s love, power, and presence.
The Mission Still Stands
This command wasn’t just for the first disciples — it’s for us today. Whether across oceans or across the street, you are sent.
The Great Commission reminds us that Christianity is not a passive faith. It’s a faith that moves, speaks, teaches, and loves until all nations know the name of Jesus.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for entrusting me with Your mission. Give me courage to go where You send me, wisdom to teach what You’ve taught, and love to reach every heart I encounter. Help me to be faithful in making disciples, starting right where I am. Amen.
Takeaway: You are chosen. You are sent.
The Great Commission isn’t just a verse — it’s your mission. 🌍✝️
