Peace Through the Cross — From Passover to Resurrection

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33 (NKJV)

From Passover: The Lamb That Saves

Passover reminds us of a moment in history when God delivered His people from slavery in Egypt. A lamb was sacrificed. Blood was placed on the doorposts. And death passed over those who were covered.

It was a picture. A shadow.A promise of something greater to come.

Jesus became that Lamb. The perfect sacrifice.The One whose blood brings not just temporary protection — but eternal salvation.

To Easter: The Victory That Changes Everything

When Jesus spoke in John 16:33, the cross was just ahead. He knew suffering was coming. He knew His disciples would face fear, confusion, and pain.

Yet He said:

“In Me you may have peace…”

Not after the storm — in the middle of it.

And then:

“I have overcome the world.”

That victory was sealed on Easter morning. The tomb was empty. Death was defeated. Hope was alive again.
